Sarausana Jé: Authentic Sicilian Flavors & Warm Hospitality in Siracusa

Visited for lunch and loved it. The owner/waiter was very friendly and we didn't wait long for food (although admittedly it was quiet at the time of our meal). My family all enjoyed the meal including pastas, salads, and desserts. I thought my pasta was the best I've had in Italy so far, and the limone dessert was delicious too.

The pesto and sausage pasta and insalata siciliana were out of this world! Service was wonderful. The antipasto plate was decent but could have done with a little more salami and fresh rocket (was quite dry/old). Staff were kind. Sitting outside was lovely, although occasionally there was noise from the takeaway place across the road calling out customer names via microphone - this didn’t bother me, if anything added to the charm of the location in general!

The owner is extremely welcoming and friendly. He suggested us mix of fried fish instead of mussels coz it’s not a season for it. It was fresh and tasty. Price is law. Wine is excellent, again suggested by owner. Tiramisu like everywhere else was tasty but the other location green dessert was too sweet, you it felt like eating sugar.

We had a very good meal here. Angelo was lovely. You can see he takes a pride of what he does. The food taste like home cooking. Absolutely lovely!

I found this restaurant via une application. Even though the slow service, foods were delicious, staff was welcoming and friendly. I had mixed seafood plate, swordfish with a pistachio sauce and tiramisu. To be honest I just wanted to try, but pistachio sauce doesn’t go well with swordfish, you can choose the classic one or take the risk, up to you It met the expectations. I recommend this restaurant

We found this restaurant when wandering around looking for some dinner. Whilst looking at the menu we were welcomed by this lovely gentleman, he looked kinda rough but when i looked into his eyes, I immediately recognized a kind hearted man. We did the mixed entree with caponata. Salami, cheese as an appetizer. I’ve had the pasta with anchovis, pomodori etc, very tasty! My girlfriend had the pasta with swordfish and eggplant, also lovely. Highly recommend this place.

The best experience of the whole trip to Syracuse. We were served by a very nice smiling owner and even though he didn't speak English, we got along without any problems. He was very attentive, the food was absolutely delicious, as were the drinks and dessert. We were given free bread with tomatoes as an appetizer at the beginning and he brought us local liquor to taste at the end. The prices were reasonable, I would definitely recommend a visit to anyone who enjoys good local cuisine and attentive service.

Highly recommend! Delicious food and great quality. This family buys their seafood from the local fishermen and you can definitely taste it! The service is top notch!
